No we do not. We work with companies/businesses that want wraps installed on their own vehicles. There are many reasons why we do not pay people to have a vehicle wrap installed on their vehicle, but one of those reasons would be fact that it’s a liability for us to act as a middleman between a business and a private individual. Additionally, ThumbPrint employees are the only authorized party to have car wraps that promote ThumbPrint put on their vehicles.
We can use designs that have been produced by clients, and we can create entirely new designs as well. Design fees can vary in price, but typically they cost around $475-$600. In cases where we create the design, clients need to provide us with particular images and logos.
If you posses the capability of creating your own design, we are more than happy to provide you with vehicle templates and specifications for the artwork, for a small fee of $60.00. This fee will be credited back to you (the client) upon receipt for the wrap. In doing this, we provide you with the ability to have all of the non-installation work for your wrap completed at a lower price than if we had to create the design for you. Vehicle wraps are also not meant to replace a custom paint job.
No. We do all sorts of different wraps. We do wraps for: walls, floors, barricades, desks and more. Although vehicle wraps are the most common kind of wrap we do, we also do wraps on these other canvases rather often. Some of these non-vehicle wraps are actually more stylistic than ones we install on cars. There are a few reasons for why that is. One of the major reasons would be the fact that we have more time to work on wraps that are being installed on surfaces that don’t move, and another is the surface itself. Our vehicle wraps are state of the art, they are smooth, they are readable, and they look professional. With that being said, it’s easier to see an image that is clearly presented on a flat surface that does not have to bend. Vehicle wrapping is the art of taking a design, and placing it over a three dimensional surface. A wrap on a wall exists in only two dimensions.
If your vehicle has factory paint that is in good condition at the time of application, there will be no damage to the paint. If your vehicle has paint that is oxidized, cracked, peeling or has been repainted due to age or accident, then the paint may be damaged upon removal. We only use 3M vinyl film which is the best in the industry. We know that wraps sometimes have to be removed, and we make sure that we don’t cause any damage to vehicles that we wrap.
Proper upkeep on a vehicle wrap is not only suggested, it’s recommended. We recommend hand washing the vehicle with only soft non-abrasive sponges. Avoid high pressure washes because this kind of pressure can actually tear the vinyl, or cause seams to lift. We also sell a special wax that should be applied every 4-6 months to keep your wrap looking nice and new.
From the time that the design is completed and approved, a wrap can be printed and installed within 10 business days. This process can take less time depending on particular circumstances. If you need to have a design created for you, then expect the process to take an additional 5 days.
